TASTING NOTE
Bright-deep garnet colour of medium depth. Intense on the nose, with aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberries, plums and black cherries backed by hints of black pepper and menthol. On the palate, Joan Giné is intense and with a smooth texture, showing a high fruit concentration of red and dark ripe fruit flavors: pomegranate, raspberry, blackberries, blackcurrant, wild berries and plums. Subtle mineral back end of spice flavors such as black pepper, menthol and thyme. Lingering and fresh, giving good juice of acidity.

“This blend of Garnacha, Cariñena and Cabernet Sauvignon offers an inviting complex nose of red plum, dark tree bark, sweet baking spice, vanilla, and a breeze of salty air. BIG on the palate – big tannin, big acid, big structure, long finish. Richly fruited with red plum and blueberry, a dust of brown sugar and cinnamon. Enjoy as is for approximately 5 more years or give it 10-15 to see what wisdom it offers with a little age”.

“Rich and nicely textured, the 2015 ‘Joan Giné’ delivers beautiful range on the palate from red raspberry coulis to white pepper and tobacco leaf, as well as cran-pomegranate flavors that all dazzle on the mouth. Bright, with great tension, enjoy this beautiful wine over the next decade.”
