Winemaker for a day
This activity attempts to develop a high-quality and meticulous teamwork. It is an activity in which besides having fun, participants must be able to coordinate and unify criteria, using the five senses, to become Oenologist for a day.
You’ll begin with a 30-minute walk through the vineyards, guided by an audio app recorded by the entire Buil & Giné team. Following a route map, you’ll discover the story of Buil & Giné, learn about our unique soils, and gain a deeper understanding of the Priorat’s history. The visit continues with a tour of the production area — including the vinification zone and the barrel room.
Next, you’ll taste four wines that truly reflect the place they come from. They carry the soul of their land, their grapes, and their people. They embody the terroir where they were born: Giné Giné 2021, Joan Giné 2019, Àngelia 2019, and Pleret 2014.
After having experienced the essence of our project, participants will be organized in teams and will have to produce their own wine. They will have a specific time and limited resources. During the activity they are going to taste, smell, making the blend, bottle and design the label of their own wine. All teams will have the same materials and requirements by the organization. Creativity, instinct and good taste will be essential to get a good result.
Therefore, while participants have fun, this is a good dynamic to develop teamwork skills, leadership, creativity, imagination and resolve unforeseen.
Winemakers will take away one bottle of their wine.
